MINUTES OF JULY llth 96 MEETING: JOHN SULLIVAN WAS ABSENT <br /> AND WAS EXCUSED.MOTION MADE TO EXCEPT WITH THIS CHANGE MADE <br /> BY RON SOLFEST, 2nd BY CHRIS BERNIER,MOTION CARRIED. <br /> B.MIKE TREHUS INTRODUCED AS NEW MEMBER BY CHAIRPERSON PAUL <br /> MONTAIN(REPLACING MARK BENSON)(STILL HAVE ONE VACANCY TO <br /> REPLACE RICH LAFOND) . <br /> C. MINUTES TO SEPT.19,96 SPECIAL MEETING WITH COUNCIL. <br /> MOTION MADE BY DIANA TURNER TO EXCEPT AND ALSO PUT THE <br /> TAPE IN THE FILES. 2nd BY RON SOLFEST. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> 3. GUEST MARY ALICE DIVINE FROM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. <br /> FROM 94 -96 11 PROJECTS INTO THE CITY 10 ARE LITE INDUSTRIAL <br /> AND 1 IS COMMERCIAL,16 NEW BUSINESSES,400,000sq.ft. ,48 acres <br /> 14 million IN BUILDING WILL GENERATE ABOUT 1mil.IN TAX <br /> REVENUE AND 490 EMPLOYEES. <br /> 1997 OUTLOOK.THERE ARE 6 PROJECTS WITH A FINAL OR PRELIMINARY <br /> COMMITTMENT.3 LITE INDUSTRIAL AND 3 COMMERCIAL,175,000 sq.ft. <br /> $8,450,000.00 /155 employees AND ,5 mil.IN TAX REVENUE. <br /> A GAS STATION CONVENIENCE STORE,AND SMALL SIT DOWN <br /> RESTAURANT IS BEING PLANNED FOR THE CLEAR WATER CREEK AREA. <br /> PLANS FOR THE TOWN CENTER PROJECT ARE MOVING ALONG NICELY. <br /> DENNIS GREBNER MASTER PLANNER FOR PUTTING TOGETHER PLANS <br /> FOR THE TOWN CENTER IS A PROFESSOR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MN. <br /> AND WILL HAVE STUDENTS WORKING ON IT ALSO. <br /> 4.
