dated December 1971, Outlot K, Lakes Addition #2, subject to various restric- <br />tions, namely; setting back building blocks 10 and 11 another 20 feet, or 50 <br />feet total, from Birch Street; screening more adequately on the south side of <br />Block 11; and that roads be privately maintained and controlled by owners. <br />Also that the whole layout be subject to approval by the engineer. Seconded <br />by Mr. Karth. Carried unanimously. <br />U. S. Lakes was also requesting a variance to put up a model:home, specifically <br />building block 8, a 2 and 3 bedroom unit. After- discussion they were advised <br />by Mr. Locher and Mr, Van Housen that a variance would not be necessary. Mr. <br />Van Housen stated the home could not be used for occupancy however before <br />sewer and water were in. It would only be built for model usuage at this time. <br />Mr. Van Housen requested they revise their plat showing building blocks 10 and <br />11 set back for the December 27th Council meeting.. <br />Mr. Van Housen gave an end of the year review of the Comprehensive Plan. He <br />stated he has no authorization to proceed. A public hearing is necessary even <br />though there is no rezoning involved, W. Van Housen recommended a closer <br />look be taken at the oomprehenaive plan that's been submitted before we come <br />to any conclusions that would come to a public hearing. Mr. Mclean stated <br />that getting this straightened out should be our number one goal after the <br />first of the year. <br />Mr. Karth moved to recommend to the Council that they retain Ton Van Housen <br />for at least another year to assure adequate continuity of his services in the <br />above regard. Seconded by Mr, McLean. Carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Jester moved to adjourn at 10 :25 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Hill. Carried <br />unanimously.
