3-
Mr. Tagg's request for a 100' sign was discussed. Mr. Tagg stated that
where the sign is loacted there are some 60' trees and a 65' sign would not
be seen soon enough for the traffic to be separated before the interchange.
He said he would prefer not to put up a 100' sign but could see no altern-
ative. Mr. McLean suggested to Mr. Tagg that he contact the Outpost on the
possiability of sharing their sign. It could possiably be enlarged to give
adequate advertisement space for both at the same location. Mr. Tagg
agreed to this and said he would check into it.
Mr. Hill recommended that the Council take a look at the cut -off at the
intersection of Old Highway 8 and Main Street. He felt that Stop signs
should be installed at both ends or it should be fenced off so as to be
impassable. He felt that the present situation is a traffic hazard.
Mr. Hill also reported that there will be Federal Funds available for
bridge repair and upgrading and suggested that the Council check into this.
Mr. Shearen moved to adjourn at 10 :35. Seconded by Mr. Kelling. Aye.
