The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board was called to <br />order at 8 P. M. on November 15, 1972. Present were Misters, Hill, Keiling, <br />McLean and Shearen. Absent were Misters, Nadeau and Ferrand. Mr. Marier <br />was present as Masanason to the Council. <br />Mr.Shearen moved to approve the minutes of the October 18th meeting as <br />follows: <br />Page 2, Paragraph I, line I, Mr. Busch <br />Page 3, Paragraph 8, line 2, Mr. Busch <br />Seconded by Mr. Ke l I i ng. Motion carried. <br />Mr. McLean reviewed a Petition for rezoning presented by Naegle. Mrs. <br />Sarner had noted it was to be posponed because of illness. The consesess <br />of members was that a copy of this be sent to Mr. Locher, asking him to <br />give us some idea of what property is described, and also the relationship <br />between this request and the State Sign Code. <br />Mr. Marier noted he had discussed Forjay, on Hwy. 49, with Mr. Zeiinka. He <br />wi I I get the proper layouts, etc,, and bring them in for the P &Zs review <br />at a future meeting. <br />The State Code was finalized, Mr. Marier pointed out, but there is a lot <br />of controversy surrounding it, and the State is thinking about making <br />some more changes. <br />At the October 18th meeting Skyline Auto Body was discussed as regarding <br />their sale of grain dryers. Mr. Marier talked with Mr. Locher about it, <br />and he said as long as it is zoned commercial, which of course it is, <br />it is legal. No stipulation was made. Mr. McLean mentioned they are <br />storing components on the filled area in back. This situation could be <br />screened, but a complaint would really be necessary. <br />There was question as to the legal stipulations on a helicopter being <br />launched from a front yard right next to a highway. It was felt that a <br />permit would be needed for launching. Several instances of hovering in <br />open fields were discussed. Mr. Marier said he would discuss it with Mr. <br />Locher. <br />The fire arms ordinance was discussed. Mr. Locher had reviewed it, and <br />said that the ordinance allows shot guns, but no rifles or shot guns with <br />slugs. Target shooting is permitted, but NO solid shells, they are <br />prohibited in the Village limits. In order to do any hunting, permission <br />must be obtained from the property owner. It was noted that there are <br />people hunting in the Village with slugs. Mr. Marier said "No Deer Hunting" <br />signs are goint to be put up at the Village limits next to the Village <br />signs, but next year we will have to post. <br />Mr. Kel I ing said that years ago they had layed out an area, ,approximately <br />from Baldwin up Lake Drive, where no hunting at all was allowed. <br />Mr. Marier noted that letters wi i i be going out this week to 'some of the <br />residences where sign permits have not been obtained. Someone with a <br />clothing store in their home and Dick's Snowmobile Repair, on Main St., <br />were two in question. <br />Mr. McLean noted that Acton had put ap a new identification sign.
