1 1 1 Design Review Board November 14, 1990 Chairperson Fred Chase called the regular meeting of the Design Review Board to order at 7:03 p.m. at the Lino Lakes City Hall. Members present were: Monika Slatten, Robert King, Fred Chase, and John Bergeson. Also present were: City Planner, John Miller; City Engineer, Dan Boxrud; City Engineer, Darrell Schneider; Mayor, Harold Bisel; Building Official, Pete Kluegel; and Planning Secretary, Laura Elken. Member absent: Al Robinson. Consideration of Minutes: Monika Slatten stated that the date was missing on the October minutes. MOTION: Robert King moved to approve the November 14th minutes as corrected. John Bergeson seconded the motion and the motion was approved. OPEN MIKE Ron Birch addressed the board. He was notified by the Building Official, Pete Kluegel that a conditional use permit was required of him. He is filling in an area located on Co. Rd. H2 and 35E. He explained to the board people have used this area in the past for dumping. He is obtaining the dirt from a sewer project off Centerville Road in White Bear Township. John Miller added that the city just became aware of the situation and he feels that the city can take Mr. Birch at his word. This item will be before the board in December for formal action. MINOR SUBDIVISION, APPLICATION #90 -60 AND REZONING, APPLICATION #90 -61 FOR LAND OWNED BY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 12. Bill Lawrence, Architect for the project addressed the board. Independent School District No. 12 (Centennial) has agreed to purchase land in Lino Lakes for the construction of an elementary school and various playfields. The land was the property of Harold Lehman and of Hugo and Irene Jorgenson. The land is located in south central Lino Lakes, north of Birch Street and west of West Shadow Lake Drive. The land covers an area of 55.01 acres. The School District purchased the land from the Jorgensons and will lease it back to the Jorgensons under a 15 year agreement for $1.00 /year. The Jorgensons are in their 70's and Mr. Lawrence stated that they hope to renew the agreement after the 15 years are up.
