1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />Design Review Board <br />November 14, 1990 <br />Chairperson Fred Chase called the regular meeting of the Design <br />Review Board to order at 7:03 p.m. at the Lino Lakes City Hall. <br />Members present were: Monika Slatten, Robert King, Fred Chase, and <br />John Bergeson. Also present were: City Planner, John Miller; City <br />Engineer, Dan Boxrud; City Engineer, Darrell Schneider; Mayor, <br />Harold Bisel; Building Official, Pete Kluegel; and Planning <br />Secretary, Laura Elken. Member absent: Al Robinson. <br />Consideration of Minutes: Monika Slatten stated that the date was <br />missing on the October minutes. <br />MOTION: Robert King moved to approve the November 14th minutes as <br />corrected. John Bergeson seconded the motion and the motion was <br />approved. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Ron Birch addressed the board. He was notified by the Building <br />Official, Pete Kluegel that a conditional use permit was required <br />of him. He is filling in an area located on Co. Rd. H2 and 35E. <br />He explained to the board people have used this area in the past <br />for dumping. He is obtaining the dirt from a sewer project off <br />Centerville Road in White Bear Township. <br />John Miller added that the city just became aware of the situation <br />and he feels that the city can take Mr. Birch at his word. <br />This item will be before the board in December for formal action. <br />MINOR SUBDIVISION, APPLICATION #90 -60 AND REZONING, APPLICATION <br />#90 -61 FOR LAND OWNED BY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 12. <br />Bill Lawrence, Architect for the project addressed the board. <br />Independent School District No. 12 (Centennial) has agreed to <br />purchase land in Lino Lakes for the construction of an elementary <br />school and various playfields. The land was the property of Harold <br />Lehman and of Hugo and Irene Jorgenson. The land is located in <br />south central Lino Lakes, north of Birch Street and west of West <br />Shadow Lake Drive. <br />The land covers an area of 55.01 acres. The School District <br />purchased the land from the Jorgensons and will lease it back to <br />the Jorgensons under a 15 year agreement for $1.00 /year. The <br />Jorgensons are in their 70's and Mr. Lawrence stated that they hope <br />to renew the agreement after the 15 years are up. <br />
