April 18, 1973 <br />-g- <br />No one was present to represent either Skyline Auto Body or Able <br />Systems. Their request for a building permit was postponed until <br />the May 16, 1973 meeting, with Mr. Ramacher to answer the following <br />questions; the meeting of the previous requirements for asphalt <br />parking, sodding and shubery; screening especially on the North <br />side and rear; what about the parking drawn in on Lot 8, what is <br />it to be used for, the surface, when completed; what are the plans <br />for the rear of the lots al lsw for 60' road in order not to land - <br />lock; what about frost footing -can this building be erected on a <br />floating slab and meet state requirements; and the building use. <br />Mr. McLean felt that Mr. Gotwald should take a look and check the <br />specifications. <br />Mr. McLean asked that when a planner is hired by the Village that <br />a special meeting be set up by the Planning and Zoning Board to <br />meet with him and discuss the current position of the Village <br />Planning. <br />Mr. Karth asked about the Orono Ordinance. Mr. McLean felt that <br />there wasn't sufficient time to discuss this thoroughly and suggest- <br />ed postponing it until the next meeting. Mr. McLean moved to <br />recommend that the Council take some action on the old gravel <br />pit since it has become a sanitary landfill by virture of the <br />dumping of trees and all forms of rubbish. The old block buildings <br />is full of overstuffed furniture. The gravel pit is posted but <br />Mr. McLean felt that it should be fenced and the building should <br />be removed. Seconded by Mr. Shearen. lotion carried. <br />Mr. H i l l suggested that in ,: the future, the Board require <br />security lighting, such as is on Restoration Enterprise building, <br />to be either of soft light or to be directed so as not to shine i <br />into the highway. <br />Mr. McLean also suggested that we contact one of the places that <br />haul away junk cars free for the parts. This could be done in <br />connection with the Spring clean -up week in April and could be <br />handled through the Police Department, <br />Mr. Ke l l ing moved to adjourn at 10:45 P.M.
