1
1
1
APRIL 16, 1975 ,1
The regular meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board was
called to order at 8:10 P.M. by Vice - Chairman Shearan. Members present:
Kelling, Houle, Nadeau and Hill. Chairman Karth was absent. Council-
man Marier was also present.
Mr. Kelling moved to approve the minutes of the March 19, 1975 meeting
as written. Motion seconded by Mr. Shearan. Motion carried.
The first item on the agenda was a request for a Special Use Permit
presented by Jeanne Eggenberger and Linda Johnson to operate the
Cross Patch Boutique at 874 Main Street, Lino Lakes, Minnesota.
Mr. Shearan asked the ladies what a boutique is.
Mrs. Eggenberger said it is a shop where arts, crafts and other hand-
made items are sold.
Mr. Kelling asked about the parking facilities at the named location.
Would there be adequate space to accomodate the number of cars that
are likely to be present at one time? Is there space for a turn-
around to keep the cars entering and leaving in an orderly fashion?
Mrs. Eggenberger said yes there was enough space for parking and exiting.
Mr. Shearan wanted to know the length of the driveway.
Mr. Eggenberger said the entire lot is 100' x 100'.
Mr. Marier asked if there were two residences at that address?
Mrs. Eggenberger said there was only one - here - and that she and
Mrs. Johnson were partners in this venture.
More discussion of the number of people expected at any one time and
the number of hours they expected to be open per week followed.
Mr. Kelling then moved to recommend to the Council that a Special
Use Permit be granted to Mrs. Eggenberger to operated the Cross
Patch Boutique at 874 Main Street, Lino Lakes, Minnestoa between
the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. d -ily. Mr. Nadeau seconded the
motion. Motion carried.
Mrs. Eggenberger questioned the Board on signs, how many are permitted,
what size, cost, etc.
She was advised that no permit is needed if the sign is under six
square feet. To place a sign on someone else's property permission
from the owner is necessary and the size of the sign will determinie
if a permit is required.
Mrs. Eggenberger and Mrs. Johnson will appear at the Council Meeting
on April 28, 1975 for a final hearing on this matter.
The next item for discussion was Mr. Jandric's request for a Variance
to sell Outlot K to U. S. Lakes Enterprises, a wholly owned subsidiary
of Emil F. Jandric.
