Traffic Impact Study
Robinson Property
5.2.2 Carl Street Connection
The potential connection between the proposed development and Carl Street, as well as the
associated joining of the existing disconnected segments of Carl Street, would be expected to
increase traffic along Carl Street by approximately 1,300 to 1,600 vehicles daily. A connected
Carl Street would be expected to function as a neighborhood collector roadway and provide a
more convenient link from the proposed development and the existing Century Farm North
neighborhood to 4th Avenue and the I-35W/Lake Drive interchange. Table 16 provides a
summary of forecast year 2040 p.m. peak hour volume impacts in the vicinity of the potential
Carl Street connection.
Table 16 — Carl Street Connection Peak Hour Volume Impacts
Forecast Year 040
Peak Hour Volume
RoadwayPM
PUD
PUD Yield
Yield
Carl Street West of Connection
No Carl
10
With Carl No Carl
150 10
With Carl
170
Carl Street East of Connection
20
170
20
190
Century Trail North of Carl Street
120
200
120
230
Century Trail South of Carl Street
130
110
130
110
Robinson Drive Near Sunset Avenue
180
160
210
190
4th Avenue North of Carl Street
230
120
240
120
4th Avenue South of Carl Street
250
290
260
300
ALLIANT 4'..
Alliant No. 221-0180.1 31
June 30, 2022
