Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />The mechanical siren foot switch shall be a Linemaster model 491-S. <br />MECHANICAL SIREN FOOT SWITCH RH LOCATION <br />The mechanical siren foot switch shall be temporarily tied up with a coiled wire drop at the firewall <br />inboard for installation by the customer on the right hand side accessible to the officer. <br />AIR HORN AUXILIARY ACTIVATION <br />The air horn activation shall be accomplished by two (2) lanyard cables, one (1) on the left hand side <br />accessible to the driver and one (1) on the right hand side accessible to the officer. An air horn activation <br />circuit shall be provided to the chassis harness pump panel harness connector. <br />MECHANICAL SIREN BRAKE/AUXILIARY ACTIVATION <br />Two (2) red push button type momentary type siren brakes shall be provided in the switch panel on the <br />dash. <br />MECHANICAL SIREN INTERLOCK <br />The siren shall only be active when master warning switch is on to prevent accidental engagement. <br />BACK-UP ALARM <br />An ECCO model 575 backup alarm shall be installed at the rear of the chassis with an output level of 107 <br />dB. The alarm shall automatically activate when the transmission is placed in reverse. <br />INSTRUMENTATION <br />An ergonomically designed Graphical Instrument Cluster (GIC) shall be provided that combines gauges, <br />telltales, warning messages, and advanced diagnostic capabilities into a single 12.3 inch digital display. <br />The display screen shall have an anti-relfective coating and include a rotary/joystick control for user <br />interaction with the display. <br />The GIC shall include a vehicle odometer which displays total vehicle distance traveled. The GIC shall <br />also include two vehicle trip odometers (TRIP A and TRIP B) which indicate the distance traveled and <br />average fuel economy for each respective trip. The operator may select which odometer is displayed and <br />may reset either trip odometer through the on -screen display. The GIC shall include an engine hour meter <br />which displays the total engine hours of operation. <br />The gauges shall have high -contrast white scales with orange pointers. The following gauges shall be <br />included on the display: <br />Speedometer that indicates vehicle speed. The scale on the speedometer shall read from 0 to 100 <br />MPH. A numerical display of vehicle speed shall also be shown on the gauge. <br />Tachometer that indicates engine speed. The scale of the tachometer shall read from 0 to 3000 RPM. <br />Primary and secondary air pressure gauges that indicate the pressure in the primary and secondary air <br />systems. The scale of the air pressure gauges shall read from 0 to 160 pounds per square inch (PSI). <br />The gauge icon and scale shall turn amber when the system pressure drops below 70 PSI. The icon <br />and scale shall turn red when the system pressure drops below 62 PSI. An audible alarm shall also <br />sound when air pressure is low. <br />07/26/22 <br />-58- <br />
