Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />MULTIPLEXED ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WITH SHIPPED LOOSE VISTA SCREEN <br />The apparatus body electrical system is to interface with chassis and body manufacturers Multiplex <br />control of the 12-volt electrical components and fixtures. The multiplex control system is to consist of <br />solid state components. All inputs and outputs will be configured into a scalable electrical harness <br />utilizing Deutsch connectors. The node is to be located in a void area of the forward apparatus body, <br />adjacent to the 12-volt electrical power distribution center. <br />The system, at a minimum, is to be capable of performing the following functions: load management <br />sequencing, switch loads, receive digital and analog signals, and perform diagnostics. The system is also <br />to be expandable. <br />The multiplex system is to be field programmable and re -configurable by any authorized Weldon/Akron <br />dealer or service center. This complete system is to eliminate the need for the following separate <br />components or devices: load manager, load sequencer, warning lamp flasher, door open notification <br />system, interlock modules, and separate -Volt meter. <br />The Base System Is To Include: <br />Total Load Management <br />Load Shedding Capabilities <br />Load Sequencing Capabilities <br />"On Board" Diagnostics Readout <br />Very Reliable, Solid State Hardware <br />Error Reporting <br />Display Analog Data <br />Continuous system monitoring and reporting <br />Emergency warning lamp flasher <br />Door Ajar System <br />Field Configurable <br />Expandability Capabilities <br />Advanced PC Diagnostics <br />WIRING HARNESSES <br />All apparatus body and pump compartment wiring for specified lights and electrical equipment is to be <br />suitably protected inside heat resistant vinyl, forming multiple harnesses. Multiple harnesses are to run <br />from the power distribution center to all areas with electrical components and fixtures. Harnesses are to <br />consist of individual legend imprinted multi -stranded copper color coded SAE-J 1128 compliant <br />automotive wires inside vinyl loom. Spare wires are to be included in each harness. Harnesses are to run <br />throughout the "enclosed" apparatus compartmented body, with only break -off leads running to exterior <br />areas for powering exposed devices. All wiring is to be identified, "imprinted" with number and function. <br />Auto -reset circuit breakers to be furnished, of various amperage capacity, sized for intended load. <br />07/26/22 <br />- 138 - <br />
