Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />Rubrail Warning Lights - None Selected <br />TRAFFIC ADVISOR <br />A Whelen 47" Traffic AdvisorTM model # TAM85 shall be furnished. The traffic advisor shall <br />incorporate a rectangular extruded black powder coated aluminum chassis with eight amber TIR6TM <br />Super -LED® lights with waterproof connectors. The TIR6 lights shall be installed in a clear optic hard <br />coated polycarbonate lens. <br />The TAM85 shall include model TACTL5 control head that includes remote flash control. The TACTL5 <br />shall have four programmable directional sequence flash patterns of left, right, split, and flash. The LED <br />display on the control head shall replicate the TAM85 directional sequence. <br />The traffic advisor shall be installed above the rear compartment, surface mounted. <br />Please refer to the chassis specification for chassis installed siren specifications. <br />Please refer to the chassis specification for chassis installed siren speaker specifications. <br />Siren, Mechanical, Control, Refer to Chassis Spec <br />Siren, Mechanical, Loc, Refer to Chassis Spec <br />Please refer to the chassis specification for chassis installed air horns. <br />PAINT PROCESS <br />Body surfaces which are to be painted, are to be cleaned using DX436 wax and grease remover. Next, the <br />entire to be painted surface is to be sprayed with F3963 Etching Primer which exhibits very good <br />adhesion and corrosion resistance. A high build primer surfacer, F3975, is to then be applied directly <br />over the etch primer. After allowing the primer surfacer to air dry, the entire unit is to be sanded using <br />dual action sanders leaving a very smooth surface to be painted. <br />The paint applied to the apparatus shall be PPG Industries Delfleet® Evolution brand, applied throughout <br />a multi -step process including at least two coats of each color and clearcoat finish. <br />Special attention will be given to proper application of coatings according to the specified film build (wet <br />and dry) recommendations of PPG. Product or technical data bulletins should be consulted for any <br />needed information above that which has been outlined herein. All paint materials shall be prepared and <br />applied in accordance with this specification and the paint manufacturer's latest written recommendation <br />prior to paint application. <br />07/26/22 <br />-155- <br />
