Custom Fire Apparatus, Inc. <br />Up to 48 square feet of 6" multiple diagonal 3M ScotchLite or an equivalent brand reflective stripes are <br />to be provided, full width at rear of apparatus body. Stripes are to form "Chevrons", using alternating <br />Ruby Red/Lemon Yellow reflective stripes, only interrupted by the rear apparatus lighting, handrails, <br />steps, and other bolt -on accessories. Chevron patterned material is to be applied on to the flat metal <br />"painted" surface, prior to the final installation of the specified bolt -on (removable) fixtures and <br />accessories. Stripes shall be oriented at 45-degree angle, sloping downward and away from centerline of <br />vehicle. <br />LINE VOLTAGE SYSTEM <br />SHORELINE/GENERATOR TRANSFER SWITCH <br />The following specified line voltage receptacles and/or power strips are to be "dual powered". A transfer <br />switch is to be furnished, wired to both the shoreline and the specified generator power sources. System <br />is to automatically transfer the power source for the designated 125 -Volt receptacles/strips (totaling a <br />maximum amperage capacity of 20-Amps), from the Shore Power to the Generator. Transfer is to take <br />place upon start-up of the generator system. <br />120V/240V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND ACCESSORIES <br />The following specified 120/240 -Volt alternating current system shall meet the requirements of NFPA <br />1901, as it relates to vehicle mounted systems, including but not limited to: Materials, Grounding, <br />Overcurrent Protection, Wiring Methods, Wiring identification, Wet Locations, Dry Locations, <br />Receptacle Listings, Electrical System Testing, Placarding, and Operational Testing. <br />120/240 VOLT HYDRAULIC GENERATOR SET - HARRISON 6KW <br />A Harrison model 6.OMAS, hydraulic driven generator set shall be installed on the apparatus. The <br />continuous duty rating of the generator shall be 6,000 watts at 120/240 -Volts. Current frequency shall be <br />stable at 60 hertz. <br />The dimensions of the power generating unit shall be 30" long x 18" wide x 16" high. A 12-volt cooling <br />fan shall be installed on the power unit to ensure maximum performance under all conditions. The <br />5-gallon hydraulic oil reservoir shall be equipped with a 10 micron filter assembly provided in the tank <br />on the return line. <br />A Chelsea "Hot Shift" 10-bolt transmission power take off shall be of the heavy duty type, mounted <br />directly on the transmission of the chassis. The driveline shall be hollow tube type, with heavy duty <br />universals and splined shaft for movement between the chassis components and the generator. The <br />engagement of the power take off shall be in the chassis cab with rocker switch and pilot light labeled <br />GENERATOR PTO ENGAGED to note engagement of the power take off. An engraved nameplate <br />indicating the chassis transmission shift selector position to be used for generator operation shall be <br />provided in the cab, located so that it can easily be read from the driver's position.
