CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 1G <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Lisa Hogstad-Osterhues, Deputy City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: August 22, 2022 <br />TOPIC: Consider Approval of Resolution No. 22-93, Approving a <br />Premise Permit Application from Centennial High School <br />Hockey Association to conduct Charitable Gambling at <br />Muddy Cow Lino Lakes, LLC d/b/a MC's Taphouse <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />An application for a premises permit has been submitted by the Centennial High School Hockey <br />Association by Jim Schoolmeesters the Gambling Manager. The application request permission <br />for Centennial High School Hockey Association to conduct charitable gambling at the Muddy <br />Cow Lino Lakes, LLC d/b/a MC's Taphouse located at 617 Apollo Drive, Suite 110, Lino Lakes. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The application is complete. The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has conducted a <br />background investigation relative to this application and found no information on the applicant <br />that would give a specific reason to deny the application. <br />Minnesota Lawful Gambling law requires that the local unit of government approve applications <br />for premises permit before they are submitted to the Gambling Control Board for final <br />consideration. Therefore, the City Council is being asked to consider approval of a resolution <br />approving the application submitted by the Centennial High School Hockey Association. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Resolution No. 22-93, approving a premise permit application from the Centennial <br />High School Hockey Association to conduct charitable gambling at MC's Taphouse located at <br />617 Apollo Drive, Suite 110, Lino Lakes. <br />
