CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO.22-120 <br />ACCEPTING BASE BID AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br />2022 I35E PIPE CROSSING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2022 I35E Pipe <br />Crossing Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement; and <br />TOTAL <br />TOTAL <br />TOTAL <br />CONTRACTOR <br />BASE BID <br />BASE BID + <br />BASE BID + <br />ALT 1 <br />ALT 2 <br />Minger Construction Co., Inc. <br />$142,827.80 <br />$647,877.80 <br />$512,927.80 <br />New Look Contracting, Inc. <br />$126,808.50 <br />$735,508.50 <br />$583,758.50 <br />Meyer Contracting, Inc. <br />$359,470.98 <br />$1,129,980.86 <br />1 $933,195.42 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Minger Construction, Co., Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the city to proceed with <br />Base Bid and Alternate 2, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with <br />Minger Construction, Co., Inc., in the amount of $512,927.80 by the name of the City of <br />Lino Lakes for the Base Bid and Alternate 2 construction of the 2022 I35E Pipe Crossing <br />Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in <br />the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid <br />Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10t' day of October, 2022. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member <br />and was duly seconded by Council Member and upon <br />vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Rob Rafferty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />
