CITY COUNCIL <br /> AGENDA ITEM 1D <br /> STAFF ORIGINATOR: Sarah Cotton, City Administrator <br /> MEETING DATE: January 9, 2023 <br /> TOPIC Consider Resolution 23-01, Approving <br /> Edible Cannabinoid License for <br /> Lino Lakes Tobacco 1 Inc at 717 Apollo Drive <br /> VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> Mr. Zuhair Abudaya, owner of Lino Lakes Tobacco 1 Inc, is currently licensed to sell <br /> tobacco products at the store located at 717 Apollo Drive. Mr. Abudaya has submitted an <br /> application to the City requesting a license to sell edible cannabinoid products at this store. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The license application has been reviewed by City staff and the related license fees have <br /> been paid. The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has conducted the required <br /> background investigation on the applicant and reports no information that would prevent <br /> issuance of a license. <br /> In accordance with the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances, Section 619 relating to Edible <br /> Cannabinoid Products, issuance of a license requires approval by the City Council. <br /> The applicant has been made aware that final issuance of the license is subject to all the <br /> provisions and conditions of the laws of the city, state and federal government. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve Resolution No. 23-01, Approving an Edible Cannabinoid Product License for <br /> Zuhair Abudaya, Lino Lakes Tobacco 1 Inc. <br />
