<br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 23-09 <br /> <br />APPROVING THE 2023-2024 LABOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES AND I.U.O.E., LOCAL NO. 49 <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes and International Union of Operating Engineers, Local No. <br />49, representing public works, have reached an agreement for 2023-2024; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes <br />approve the terms of the labor agreement, as follows: <br /> <br />1. COMPENSATION/WAGES: <br />a) 3% general wage increase, plus 0.75% market adjustment effective January 1, 2023 <br />b) 3% general wage increase, plus 0.75% market adjustment effective January 1, 2024 <br />c) Remove the following language: Heavy Equipment Premium: $.75/hour (For dump <br />truck w/plow & wing, skid steer, backhoe, front-end loader, tractor w/ attachments, <br />sweeper, & bucket truck) <br />d) Add the following language: Pre-Shift Pay: From November 1st to March 31st each <br />year, employees assigned to snow and ice removal duties during snow events shall <br />receive a one-time pre-shift premium, per day, equal to $30 for all hours served <br />before 5:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. This pay is considered a premium and <br />will not be added into overtime base pay calculations. If an employee’s shift <br />exceeds 10 hours, the pre-shift premium pay is void. <br /> <br />2. INSURANCE: <br />a) Section 17.1 (Health) revised to read: <br />a) Effective January 1, 2023, Employer will contribute $588.64 toward the <br />premium for single coverage and $1,212.98 toward the premium for family <br />coverage. <br />b) Effective January 1, 2024, Employer will contribute 100% of the base single <br />plan and $1,212.98 plus 50% of the 2024 premium increase toward the family <br />plan. <br />c) The Employer’s contributions toward the Health Savings Account and the cash <br />option for waiving coverage remain the same. <br /> <br />3. STANDBY AND ON-CALL PAY: Section 12.1 (Standby Pay) revised to read: An <br />employee assigned by the employer to be on standby with the on-call phone, shall be <br />compensated as follows (i.e. nine hours of additional pay for one week): <br />• Monday – Friday – one (1) hour of pay at the employee’s current rate of pay per <br />day <br />• Saturday – Sunday and Holidays – two (2) hours of pay at the employee’s current <br />rate of pay per day <br /> <br />4. OVERTIME: Section 11.6 Compensatory Time revised to include the following language: <br />All overtime hours worked in a single shift must be paid out as overtime or compensatory <br />time earned, no splitting of shifts. <br />
