CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 6D <br /> <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee PE, City Engineer <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: March 27, 2023 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution No. 23-24, Approving the Delegated <br />Contract Process for Federally Funded Projects <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting council approval of the agreement between MnDOT and the City for the <br />Delegated Contract Process used for Federally Funded Projects. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The Delegated Contract Process (DCP) is an agreement between MnDOT and the City that is <br />enacted if and when the City receives federal funds. The agreement outlines the roles and <br />responsibilities associated with federal aid funds and allows for MnDOT to act as the City’s <br />agent in accepting these funds for construction projects. This is typically a requirement of <br />receiving federal funds. The City does not currently have federal funding on a project, however <br />having this agreement in place ensures that the City would receive timely reimbursement if a <br />project were to be federally funded. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 23-24, Approving the Delegated Contract <br />Process agreement for Federally Funded Projects. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
