<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AGENDA ITEM 5A <br /> <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director <br /> <br />MEETING DATE: March 27, 2023 <br /> <br />TOPIC: Consider Approval of Resolution No. 23-31, Accepting Bids and <br />Awarding a Contract, Watermark Park Irrigation System <br /> <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br /> <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />Staff is requesting Council’s consideration to accept bids and award a construction contract for <br />the irrigation system at Watermark Park. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City Council awarded the Watermark Park construction project at the February 13, 2023 <br />City Council meeting. Installation of the irrigation system was bid as a separate project. Three <br />bids were received. <br /> <br />CONTRACTOR TOTAL BASE BID <br />Albrecht Enterprises, LLC $104,083.00 <br />Irrigation Doctor, Inc. $111,632.00 <br />Southview Design $154,987.91 <br /> <br />The low bid was submitted by Albrecht Enterprises, LLC. in the amount $104,083.00 and is <br />being recommended for award. Albrecht Enterprises, LLC is currently listed as a subconsultant <br />for the overall park project, as they will be undertaking the landscape installation. <br /> <br />The engineer’s estimate was $110,000.00. Funding has been identified through the Dedicated <br />Parks Fund. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. 23-31. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
