Similar information can be obtained from
our street sweeper and vehicles used in sweeping
operations. This data enables staff to analyze routes,
equipment and operator performance to maximize
efficiency and consistency in street maintenance
operations.
Salt use/Chloride reductions - this equipment tracks
quantities and precise locations of salt delivery, as well as air and surface temperatures,
allowing us to make informed decisions in our winter operations with a goal of using no more
salt than necessary. Data is readily accessible for reporting.
Sweeping TMDL reductions – This equipment can track locations swept, the number of times
the sweeper has filled up (volume calculations), broom hours, labor hours, etc. This
information may be especially valuable if we target enhanced sweeping efforts in
vulnerable watersheds. Data readily accessible for TMDL reporting
