<br /> <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Public Safety Director John Swenson presented Firefighter Gabby Streater for her Oath of Fire <br />Service. Mayor Rafferty issued the Oath of Fire Service to Firefighter Streater. <br />Director Swenson then presented recognition awards to Firefighters Mark Tembruell and Kent <br />Alley for their years of service. <br />PROCLAMATION <br />Mayor Rafferty issued a proclamation declaring the week of September 17-23, 2023 to be <br />Constitution Week in the City of Lino Lakes. <br /> <br />1. FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br />A. Consider Resolution No. 23-93, Approving 2024 Capital Purchases <br /> <br />Finance Director Hannah Lynch presented resolution 23-93 for Council consideration. She <br />advised the resolution comes as a follow-up to Council discussion during budget work <br />sessions and that the resolution provides the ability for staff to place orders for 2024 <br />capital purchase expenses. <br /> <br />Mayor Rafferty clarified for the record, consistent with dicussion held at the work session, <br />that the public safety purchases approved will provide for (Chevrolet) Tahoes for patrol <br />vehicles and (Dodge) Durangos for administrative vehicles. <br />RESULT: CARRIED [UNANIMOUS] <br />MOVER: Ruhland <br />SECONDER: Cavegn <br />AYES: Ruhland, Cavegn, Lyden, Stoesz, Rafferty <br />
