Page 1 <br />To: Katie Larsen <br />From: Andy Nelson <br />Date: 10/02/23 <br />Re: Environmental Comments/9-27-23/Kavan Family Christmas Tree Farm <br />Environmental Board had the following comments at the 9-27-23 EB meeting: <br />1.Blanding’s turtle (Emydoidea blandingii), a State Threatened speices, has been <br />observed within a one-mile radius of the site. The MN DNR flyer and factsheet <br />for this turtle must be provided to all contractors working on the site. Any <br />sightings of this species must be reported to City staff so that the turtles can be <br />safely relocated. <br />2. Category 2 wood fiber blanket is specified in the Grading, Drainage, and Erosion <br />Control Plan. This must be updated to reflect the 2020 Mn DOT category number <br />with a note that the City requires natural net erosion blanket. <br />3.Continue to work with City Engineer and Anoka County to develop a plan for safe <br />access from Ash Street. <br />Environmental Memo <br />Attachment 9: Environmental Coordinator Memo dated September 5, 2023
