The improvement project requires the execution of a Joint Powers Agreement to address cost <br />share and maintenance responsibilities. The City’s financial responsibility for the project is for <br />lighting, bituminous walks and storm water management for a total estimated amount of <br />$164,567.35. The total cost to the City after federal funds are applied is estimated at <br />$61,850.59. Funding for the project will be through the City’s Municipal State Aid (MSA) <br />account. <br />The City is responsible for providing power for the RAB lighting, and maintenance of the RAB <br />lighting, storm sewer lines, water quality ponds and bituminous walks. The power and light <br />costs will be split through a separate JPA with the City of Blaine, similar to an existing <br />agreement for the Apollo Drive/Sunset intersection. <br /> <br />Anoka County will be responsible for mowing the RAB unless the City moves forward with <br />landscaping of the RAB in the future. <br /> <br />Additional information on the project can be found on the project website at: <br />https://www.csah14roundabout.com/ . <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution No. 23-117 approving the Joint Powers <br />Agreement with Anoka County. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
