2
An agency's ability to minimize the impact of an organizational crisis depends on how
well it can quickly gather facts, make informed decisions and communicate with key
audiences. The proposed plan will help ensure the Lino Lakes has this ability.
OBJECTIVE:
Help protect the reputation of the Lino Lakes during an organizational crisis.
GOALS:
Mobilize speciality teams - During a crisis, each employee may have a role to
play. This plan will identify and document these roles for all areas of the agency.
Quickly gather and confirm facts - During a crisis, access to timely, accurate
information is the lifeblood of smart decisions. This plan will establish fact
gathering and fact-sharing protocols for the department.
Strategic dissemination of information - This plan will help the agency develop
protocols for communicating clear, concise and accurate information with
employees, City partners and the community when safety and/or reputations are
at risk.
Engage City leaders in the response - During an organizational crisis, engaging
other City leaders, whether out of courtesy or need, is critically important.
