How can the Park Board communicate future projects to the City
Council?

Mr. Kusterman discussed his prior experience as a member of the City Council.
Recommends going to the City Council with neighboring cities' park budgets to show
how much they allocate for their park systems.

Mrs. Schmidt discussed that the Lino Lakes budget also includes police and fire
departments. Suggests comparing our park budget with other cities that also have their
own police and fire departments.

Mr. Gooder discussed what happens if we don’t have money to update the parks and
trails. Would like to get in front of the City Council and ask about any surplus.

Mrs. Ballering discussed creating a presentation for the City Council.

Mrs. Schmidt discussed sending a survey to identify what the community wants and
needs and then presenting the results to the City Council. Mr. DeGardner stated that
nothing had been sent.

Mr. Huelman discussed how large the City of Lino Lakes park system is.
