Park Board <br />October 4, 2023 <br />pg. 2 <br /> <br /> <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br /> <br />electrical and booster pump installations to complete. Pickleball and basketball court <br />surfacing should be complete by early next week. All trails and most concrete work is <br />complete. The dock has been delivered, and will be installed later this month. <br />Construction of the park sign and pergola installation are underway. The sun shade near <br />the court area has been installed. The park will be final graded and hydroseeded next <br />week. The open-air shelter will be delivered and installation starting the same day. The <br />playground equipment will be installed Spring 2024. <br /> <br />Mr. Kusterman questioned why the dock was placed so late in the season. Mr. <br />DeGardner stated it was in the contract and the dock doesn’t need to be removed during <br />the winter. <br /> <br />B. City Hall Pickleball Courts <br />Mr. DeGardner gave a summary of his written report. The courts are open for fun. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder would like to include benches at each project in the future. <br /> <br />C. RLE Basketball Courts <br />Mr. DeGardner gave a summary of his written report. This project is complete. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder asked what the lifespan of basketball courts is. Mr. DeGardner stated 15-20 <br />years. <br /> <br />D. Foxborough Boardwalk <br />Mr. DeGardner gave a summary of his written report. The Parks Department replaced <br />two boardwalk sections (approximately 200’). Also, the center boardwalk section in <br />Foxborough was reset and releveled. <br /> <br />E. Sunrise #3 Renovations <br />Mr. DeGardner gave a summary of his written report. The Parks Department rebuilt the <br />pitcher's mound, cut out the lips on the turf between the infield aggregate and outfield <br />turf, and resodded the base path areas and infield perimeter. <br /> <br />Mr. Gooder asked if Centennial Little League funded any of the projects. Mr. <br />DeGardner stated that the city takes care of the fields. <br /> <br />F. Benches installed at Tower Park and City Hall Park Courts <br />Mr. DeGardner gave a summary of his written report. Six benches at Tower Park and <br />two benches at City Hall Park were assembled and installed for court users. <br /> <br />Mr. Kusterman asked if the benches were anchored. Mr. DeGardner stated no. <br /> <br />7. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
