1 <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 2F <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala, Community Development Director <br />MEETING DATE: February 12, 2024 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No. 23-130, Approving Utility Meter <br />Reading Equipment hardware and Customer Portal and Analytics <br />Software <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration to postpone action on Resolution 23-130 until the <br />March 11, 2024 regular City Council meeting. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On December 11, 2023 the City Council discussed the purchase of utility meter reading <br />equipment hardware and customer portal and analytics software. The item was tabled to the <br />February 12, 2024 regular meeting to allow time for development of a policy regarding use of <br />the data as it relates to code enforcement. <br />Staff is developing the policy in cooperation with the City Attorney. Staff is also reevaluating <br />the software application and requesting that the item be postponed until the March 11, 2024 <br />regular City Council meeting. The item will also be placed on the March 4, 2024 work session <br />for discussion. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Motion the postpone consideration of Resolution No. 23-130 until March 11, 2024. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.Resolution No. 23-130. <br />137
