Environmental Board <br /> December 27,2023 <br /> Page 2 <br /> The applicant, Boulder Contracting, submitted a land use application for preliminary plat <br /> for Jansen Addition. The proposal is to subdivide the existing parcel located at 523 Lois <br /> Lane into three single family lots for the purpose of constructing two new single-family <br /> homes. <br /> The Board discussed the proposed Jansen Addition. <br /> Mr. Nelson noted that recommendation number 8 should be removed 8 ecause the area <br /> along the north property line has low elevation change and heavy herefore <br /> the silt fence to capture runoff would not be necessary there. the sente on page <br /> three of the staff report under Stormwater Pollution Prevent' sh be remo , which <br /> reiterates recommendation 8. <br /> There was also an error on the Tree Preservation ao Miti ab e i th aff report, <br /> so Mr. Nelson will update the staff report to match th corre le that as presented at <br /> this meeting. <br /> The Board accepted the seven recom endations. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Schwartz and conded b s. Buchmeier. Motion carried 4—0. <br /> 7. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> A. 2023 Forestry Revie <br /> Mr. Nelson, E nme 1 Co at or,presented the staff report. <br /> Forestry in 2023�wa inly focus on Emerald Ash Borer response and clearance <br /> pruniri,g along streets. ap lied for the Tree City program that included information <br /> about the City's forestry for 2023. A summary of that data was included in the <br /> *eport. ard discuss ow many trees were planted, sold at the Tree Sale, removed, <br /> , and jected. <br /> Staff aVoresented a few goals for 2024, which included continuation of treating <br /> Emerash Borer trees, pruning for clearance, expand management in natural areas and <br /> wetland banks, increased chlorosis treatment, continue tree inventory updates, and <br /> applying for Tree City and Growth Award. <br /> B.
