COUNCIL MINUTES January 22, 2018 <br />DRAFT <br />2 <br />Consider Resolution No. 18-07, Authorizing Issuance 47 <br />Of a Special Event Permit to hold the annual Centennial 48 <br />Lions Ice Fishing Contest on Centerville Lake Approved 49 <br /> 50 <br />Consider Resolution No. 18-08, Approving a Peddler 51 <br />License for Edward Jones Financial Approved 52 <br /> 53 <br />FINANCE DEPARTMENT REPORT 54 <br /> 55 <br />There was no report from the Finance Department. 56 <br /> 57 <br />ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT REPORT 58 <br /> 59 <br />3A) Consider Resolution No. 18-09, Approving an On-Sale Liquor with Sunday Sales 60 <br />License for Katana Sushi - City Clerk Bartell reported that the city has received an application for 61 <br />an On-Sale with Sunday Sales liquor license for a new restaurant called Katana Sushi that plans to 62 <br />open about March 1 at 730 Apollo Drive. Their application process is complete, the related fees have 63 <br />been paid and insurance information has been provided to the City as required. In accordance with 64 <br />the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances, this application requires approval by the City Council. 65 <br /> 66 <br />Council Member Manthey moved to approve Resolution No. 18-09 as presented. Council Member 67 <br />Maher seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. 68 <br /> 69 <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT REPORT 70 <br /> 71 <br />There was no report from the Public Safety Department. 72 <br /> 73 <br />PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT REPORT 74 <br /> 75 <br />There was no report from the Public Services Department. 76 <br /> 77 <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT REPORT 78 <br /> 79 <br />6A) Public Hearing: West Shadow Lake Area Municipal Utility Extension – City Engineer 80 <br />Diane Hankee reviewed a PowerPoint presentation that included information on the following: 81 <br /> 82 <br />- Map showing project area; 83 <br />- Neighborhood meeting was held at which details were discussed; 84 <br />- Staff is ready to submit permits to watershed and Army Corps of Engineers; 85 <br />- Council will receive an update on designs at next work session; 86 <br />- With roadway project under consideration, it is appropriate to consider the addition of 87 <br />municipal utilities; the area includes some aged systems; 88 <br />- Review of proposed improvements; 89 <br />- Water and sewer lines proposed drawn on a map; 90 <br />- Project costs; 91 <br />- Assessment analysis; 92
