2 <br /> <br />8. Provides clerical assistance such as typing, copying, filing, faxing, mailing, scheduling <br />appointments, and other related duties. <br />9. Answers and routes phone calls to the proper staff members; greets and conducts <br />business with the public; assists with recreational program registrations; tracks meeting <br />room and park shelter reservations; works front counters when needed. <br />10. Manages and monitors security system of Civic Complex and other City buildings <br />including programming operations, inventory control of access cards, and <br />troubleshooting. <br />11. Maintains accurate accounting of ActiveNet registration software registrations and <br />revenue, including programs for brochures/ events. <br />12. Maintains department’s filing and record retention system in accordance with the Data <br />Privacy Act. <br />13. Performs routine financial duties, including collecting fees, preparing deposits, <br />maintaining records of recreation program fees, coding invoices, maintaining budget <br />records, maintaining petty cash fund, and reconciling credit card transactions. <br />14. Prepares and distributes agenda packets for the Lino Lakes Park and Recreation Board. <br />Attends board meetings to take minutes and transcribes them in final form. Prepares and <br />distributes expanded agenda after board meetings. <br />15. Maintains keys to all city properties and retains related paperwork when keys are <br />checked out and returned. <br />16. Prepare invoices and statements for finance; code disbursements. <br />17. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent. <br /> <br /> <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br /> <br />1. Knowledge, proficiency and accuracy in the use of computer applications and <br />software/hardware, including Microsoft Office Suite (word processing, spreadsheet and <br />power point presentations). <br />2. Strong verbal and written communication skills. <br />3. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all City staff and the general <br />public. <br />4. Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with supervisors, co- <br />workers, and the general public. <br />5. Ability to work independently and to prioritize work. <br />6. Knowledge of office procedures and practices. <br />7. Knowledge of principles and procedures of record keeping. <br />8. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. <br />9. Ability to work some evenings to attend Park Board meetings or weekends for special <br />events. <br /> <br /> <br />
