COUNCIL MINUTES February 26, 2018 <br />DRAFT <br />4 <br />Council Member Maher moved to approve Resolution No. 18-16 as presented. Council Member 126 <br />Rafferty seconded the motion. Motion carried on a voice vote. 127 <br />6F) Consider Resolution No. 18-15, Authorizing a One Year Trial Contract With Simple 128 <br />Recycling – Environmental Coordinator Asleson reviewed his written report. The contract requested 129 <br />will provide for services within the city for the pick-up and recyling unusable clothing. The program 130 <br />will be free to residents and the city receives credit for tonnage and for recycling credit. This will be a 131 <br />one-year trial. 132 <br />Mayor Reinert explained that it’s a new type of service. There are ways to recycle already and this is yet 133 <br />another but the city will try it out. After a year there will be a review of services. 134 <br />Council Member Manthey remarked that the city attorney has ensured this is for a one-year period. 135 <br />Council Member Stoesz said he has checked out the contractor and sees that the same or similar service 136 <br />is offered via free shipping so he would prefer not to have the trucks in the neighborhood. 137 <br />Council Member Maher moved to approve Resolution No. 18-16 as presented.
