2 <br />REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES <br />1. Ability to learn and work in specialized software applications for utility billing and other <br />areas. <br />2. Computer skills that include knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) <br />3. Ability to make 10-key calculations. <br />4. Ability to make basic mathematical computations. <br />5. Ability to prioritize a work schedule and to work independently. <br />6. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and members of the <br />public. <br />7. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and <br />members of the public. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />1. Two-year degree in Accounting or Business, or closely related field. <br />2. One year of accounting experience. <br />3.OR three years of experience in customer billing (experience must be within the last five <br />years). <br />PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS <br />1. Two years of customer service experience. <br />2. The <br />employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach hands and arms. The employee must <br />frequently move, turn, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Examples of lifting and <br />carrying include, but are not limited to, paper, file storage boxes, electronic equipment, and <br />books. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust <br />focus.
