1st Reading: Publication: <br />2nd Reading: Effective: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 07-18 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE SECTION 1007 RELATED TO <br />DRIVEWAY SURFACING AND AIRPLANE HANGAR AND ACCESS <br />PERFORMANCE STANDARDS <br /> <br />The City Council of Lino Lakes ordains: <br />Section 1. Findings. The City Council finds that private airfields within the city are an existing <br />land use supported in the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The development of performance <br />standards for driveway surfacing, hanger construction and hangar access are in the best interests <br />of the city to ensure safe operation and continued compatibility with adjacent land uses. <br />Section 2. Amendment. Lino Lakes City Code Chapter 1007.043(4)(i)4.h. is hereby repealed as <br />set forth below: <br />1007.043, (4)(i)4.h. Lots that have shared ownership/membership in the Lino Airpark may have a three <br />thousand two hundred (3,200) square foot accessory building as an airplane hangar provided that: <br />i. The hangar be earth tone in color. <br />ii. The hangar conform to Building Code standards for hangar use. <br />iii. The hangar location has direct taxiway access to the Lino Airpark runway. <br /> <br />Section 3. Amendment. Lino Lakes City Code Chapter 1007.044(3)(h) is hereby amended as <br />set forth below to include the following: <br />16. All driveways, approaches, sales lots, and parking areas, shall be hard surfaced using concrete, <br />asphalt or equivalent paving materials as approved by the city engineer. <br />a. In Commercial, Industrial and Public and Semi-public zoning districts the city may allow <br />up to 25 percent of the required parking stalls be provided as green parking with a turf <br />surface supported by a city approved parking lot sub-base and a turf-guard fabric. <br />b. In Rural and Residential zoning districts, on lots one acre in size or greater, driveways, <br />approaches, and parking areas shall be surfaced with asphalt, concrete, class 5 gravel or <br />other surfacing material as may be approved by the City Engineer. <br />
