Staff will provide additional information at the <br />upcoming work session, however we are proposing to set up the public hearing to keep the <br />project on schedule. <br /> <br />The amount to be assessed against the abutting benefitted properties is $943,343.00. The <br />proposed assessment role is enclosed. The assessments would be payable over 15 years at an <br />interest rate of 5 percent. <br /> <br />The next step in the process is to call for the hearing on the proposed assessment. The proposed <br />hearing will be held at the September 24, 2018 City Council meeting. Notice of the meeting will <br />be published in the City’s official newspaper (Quad Press). Mailed notice will be provided to <br />each parcel owner not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. <br /> <br />The assessments would be certified to Anoka County for taxes payable 2020. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolutions No. 18-105 and 18-106. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />1.
