CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 3D <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: January 8, 2024 <br />TOPIC: Authorize Appraisal Services for the 2024/2025 Street <br />Reconstruction Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting City Council consideration to authorize the appraisal services for the <br />2024/2025 Street Reconstruction Project. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Staff requesting approval to retain Hosch Appraisal & Consulting, Inc. to prepare a benefit <br />evaluation for proposed utility improvements. WSB and Associates is working to complete <br />the feasibility study for sanitary sewer and water improvements to serve the Pine Haven and <br />Colonial Woods neighborhoods. Staff is seeking appraisal services to assist with <br />determination of potential assessments and feasibility of the project. The not to exceed cost <br />is $30K, split between the two project areas. Funding will be from the trunk area and unit <br />fund. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 24-04 Authorizing Appraisal Services for the <br />2024/2025 Street Reconstruction Project. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.Resolution No. 24-04 <br />136
