CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />ORDINANCE NO. 05-24 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE CHAPTER 1007 RELATED TO <br />BUILDING TYPE AND CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />The City Council of Lino Lakes ordains: <br /> <br />Section 1. Findings of Fact. The City Council finds that the zoning ordinance text amendment <br />protects the public health, safety, comfort, convenience and general welfare of the residents of <br />the community. <br /> <br />Section 2. Amendment. The Lino Lakes City Code Chapter 1007 is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />• City Code Section 1007.043(2): <br /> <br />(c) Multiple-Family Dwelling Construction Standards. All multiple-family dwellings shall <br />comply with the following requirements: <br /> <br />1. The exterior walls of multiple-family dwelling structures shall include a variation <br />in building materials which are to be distributed throughout the building walls <br />and coordinated into the architectural design of the structure to create an <br />architecturally balanced appearance. <br /> <br />2. A minimum of At least 33% of all each building exterior walls of a structure shall <br />have an exterior finish be composed of brick, natural stone, or artificial stone. <br /> <br />3. For the purposes of this section, the area of the building each exterior wall shall <br />not include area devoted to windows, entrance doors, garage doors, or roof areas. <br /> <br />4. Each building elevations exterior wall shall be articulated to add visual interest. <br />Large blank exterior walls shall be prohibited. Variation in elevations exterior walls <br />can be accomplished with projections or recesses, material changes, or other <br />methods of building articulation. <br /> <br />• City Code Section 1007.043(2): <br /> <br />(d) Commercial, industrial, and institutional. All buildings constructed on land within <br />commercial, industrial, public and semi-public zoning districts, and all institutional <br />buildings (such as public, education, and religious buildings) in residential and rural <br />zoning districts shall conform with the following: <br /> <br />36
