Planning & Zoning Board <br />April 10, 2024 <br />Page 6 <br />APPROVED MINUTES <br />notification vicinity because they want to reach everyone within a reasonable <br />distance, but the vicinity is also dependent on the type and size of the <br />development. <br />Mr. Laden asked what the notification requirements are regarding neighborhood <br />meetings. <br />Ms. Larsen replied that it was 600 ft according to the preliminary plat. <br />Ms. Guthmueller agreed with Mr. Wipperfurth about how important transparency <br />is when doing something big, and notifying more people is better. <br />A.Lake Drive Corridor Architectural Design Standards <br />Mr. Grochala suggested to the Board that staff need to come up with a design <br />overlay. <br />Mr. Laden commented on looking at the city as a whole and seeing where they <br />wanted to do that. Especially industrial zoned areas that have a high visibility. <br />Mr. Grochala suggested at the next meeting that they map out those areas and <br />discuss what the next steps would be with some maps and photos. <br />B.Project Updates <br />Staff provided an update on projects. <br />Mr. Wipperfurth suggested a discussion item at the next meeting about the <br />religious communities and zoning text amendments to discuss the screening and <br />setbacks. <br />Chair Root agreed but added that the Board should discuss what the standards <br />already are. <br />Mr. Wipperfurth moved to adjourn the meeting.
