Council Minutes -2- June 24, 2024 <br />Mr. Dotson stated that he was a Presbyterian Minister for 12 years. He stated that part of the <br />Judeo-Christian foundation is hospitality and many of his Muslim friends are living the same <br />American dream his grandma was living when she came here from Finland. He stated that we <br />are the leaders of freedom and democracy in our world. That has to be at every longitude, <br />every latitude. <br />Chris Stowe, 426 Pine Street, Lino Lakes, presented his concerns about flooding on his property <br />now and in the future as it relates to the sod farm drainage. He outlined several of the area <br />construction projects including the round -a -about that are also impacting stormwater flow. He <br />said that he has been in contact with the Rice Creek Watershed about the water flow in the <br />area as well. <br />Mr. Stowe stated that he is opposed to having a Public Safety Director position and would like <br />to see only a Police Chief and Fire Chief position for the city. <br />Motion to close the public comment period. <br />RESULT: <br />CARRIED [UNANIMOUS] <br />MOVER: <br />Ruhland <br />SECONDER: <br />Lyden <br />AYES: <br />Rafferty, Cavegn, Lyden, Ruhland and Stoesz <br />Setting the Agenda <br />The agenda was accepted as presented. <br />1.
