CALL TO ORDER

Mr. Grochala called the Economic Development Advisory Committee meeting to order at
8:02 a.m. on September 5, 2024.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Meeting minutes were not approved and will be placed on the approval of minutes for the
October 3, 2024 meeting.

3. DISCUSSION ITEMS

A. Roers Companies, Land Purchase

Mr. Grochala informed the EDAC that Roer’s Companies made an offer to purchase 6.27
acres of EDA owned property in the Legacy at Woods Edge Development. He explained
that Roers Companies is a national real estate development firm based in the Twin Cities.
Their focus is on multi-family residential developments and generally collaborate with
partners on commercial components. The Woods Edge project would include a market
rate multi-family building with opportunities for commercial development on a portion of
the property. This use is generally consistent with the land use plan and zoning for the
site.

The EDA had counter offered including a requirement that the commercial component be
built prior to or in conjunction with the residential component. While Roers was
agreeable to the price, they could not commit to the commercial stipulation. It is not
likely that they will move forward.
