The Police Captain stated that the fitness equipment included with the donation <br />scheduled for acceptance, would mostly be used by the police and fire departments. <br />Mayor Rafferty asked that staff extend the City's appreciation to the person making the <br />donation. <br />The Public Work Superintendent provided an overview of the Public Works Facilities <br />project. This evening the Council will be asked to authorize issuance of Request for <br />Proposals (RFPs) for Architectural and Engineering Services. <br />Mayor Rafferty asked if the schedule as presented for the project was realistic. <br />The Public works Superintendent stated that the scheduled would be adjusted as the <br />project moves forward. <br />Councilmember Ruhland asked if the Council was in favor of forming a sub -committee <br />to oversee the project. <br />Mayor Rafferty stated that he was in favor of discussing the formation of a sub- <br />committee further at the next Work Session. <br />The City Planner stated that the Lino Retail 2.0 project has been reviewed in detail by <br />the Council at a prior Work Session and will be presented in full this evening for the <br />public and as part of the first reading of Ordinance No. 17-24 Zoning Ordinance Map <br />Amendment -Rezoning Certain Property from NB, Neighborhood Business to GB, General <br />Business. Along with the associated Preliminary Plat and Conditional Use Permit for <br />automobile repair -minor. <br />The City Planner reported that the Planning and Zoning Committee held the required <br />public hearing on this matter. <br />The City Planner stated that there is also a proposed vacation of a portion of 77th Street <br />that is scheduled for public hearing this evening. She noted that there is cross -over of <br />interest between the Lino Retail 2.0 project and street vacation. <br />The Council discussed past studies related to this project area, noting that the traffic <br />signal was installed approximately 20 years ago for this project area. <br />The City Planner stated that the proposed vacation of the drainage and utility easement <br />at 1057 Black Duck Court is at the request of the property owners as they would like to <br />build a shed on the property. It has been determined that the vacation is acceptable by <br />the City as it relates to drainage and utility needs. <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
