CITY COUNCIL <br />REGULAR MEETING STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA ITEM 613 <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Diane Hankee, PE City Engineer <br />MEETING DATE: December 9, 2024 <br />TOPIC: Consider Resolution 24-160, Order Project, Approve the Plans <br />and Specifications and Authorize the Ad for Bid, 2025 Street <br />Rehabilitation Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />INTRODUCTION <br />Staff is requesting Council approval to order the project and authorize the ad for bid for the <br />2025 Street Rehabilitation Project. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On October 14, 2024, the City Council approved the preparation of the plans and specifications for <br />the 2025 Street Rehabilitation Project. The 2025 Street Rehabilitation improvements are part of <br />the City's Capital Improvement Plan which is based off the City's Pavement Management Program. <br />The Pavement Management Program evaluates the condition of the roadways and provides <br />recommendations for maintenance for the City's entire network of roadways. The proposed 2025 <br />Street Rehabilitation Improvements Project includes the following: <br />Mill and Overlay (approximately 1.25 miles <br />• Coyote Trl and Ct <br />• Fawn Ln (south of Birch), Beaver Trl, and Muskrat Run <br />• E. Shadow Lake Ct, White Birch Ct, and Red Birch Ct <br />Rid Dltarnata <br />1. Linden Ln (0.3 miles) <br />2. Red Hawk Trl (0.1 miles) <br />3. Thin Overlay of Orange St, Eva St, Olive St, and Maple St (0.82 miles) <br />The bid alternate is advancing part of the 2026 Street Rehabilitation project. If funding allows, <br />the City Council may consider awarding these areas in with the 2025 project. Throughout the <br />project area, gate valves will be replaced if they have not been previously repaired. <br />
