The Mayor asked for clarification on the firefighter equipment purchase of new helmets <br />as outlined in the budget. The Deputy Director/Fire reviewed the advantages of the <br />proposed equipment over other options. He reviewed the meaning of the color coding <br />in relation to training levels and rank on the scene of an incident. <br />The City Engineer provided an overview of the 2024 Woods Edge Street Scape <br />Rejuvenation Project, scheduled for formal action this evening. She stated that the City <br />received two quotes for the project and both contractors are qualified to complete the <br />project. As a result, staff is recommending awarding the project to the company <br />providing the low quote. <br />The City Engineer stated that the property owners at 904 Kelly Street would like to build <br />a pool. She reported that there is a drainage and utility easement restricting their ability <br />to construct the pool. Upon review the easements can be vacated. This evening the <br />Council is being asked to provide first reading to an ordinance vacating the drainage and <br />utility easement. <br />The City Engineer provided an overview of Item 6B Approval of Payment No. 4 and Final, <br />2022 Surface Water Maintenance Project. <br />The City Engineer stated the City Council is being asked to approve the quote for the <br />2024 Rejuvenator Project this evening. She highlighted that additional contractors were <br />eligible to provide a quote for service with this most recent process. <br />4.
