By creating a flat organization structure, the former <br />Deputy Director and Captain will be afforded the opportunity to build upon their <br />established relationships, repair trust, mentor, and share their knowledge with their <br />teammates. <br />Timeline: <br />• January 6, 9:00 a.m. —City Administrator meets with Public Safety Director, Deputy <br />Director of Police and Captain to discuss the changes to the organizational <br />structure and their roles. <br />• January 6, 10:00 am — an email was sent to public safety staff notifying them of the <br />changes. <br />• January 6, 6:30 p.m. — Present plan to the council. <br />• January 13, 6:30 p.m. — City Council appoints Curt Boehme as the Interim Public <br />Safety Director. <br />• January 27 through January 31 — Interim Public Safety Director Boehme willjob <br />shadow Swenson. <br />• February 3 — Interim Public Safety Director Boehme will begin interim position. <br />• February 3 — City Gate draft information presented at work session meeting. <br />• February 5 — Police department meeting held to present and discuss direction of the <br />organization. <br />• February 12 — Previously schedule department meeting. <br />
