Environmental Board <br />November 26, 2024 <br />Page 3 <br />Ms. Buchmeiermade a motion to approvethe recommendations by staff. Mr. <br />Parsons seconded. Motion carried 5 – 0. <br />C.Wilkinson Lakes Development Updates <br />North Oaks and VLAMO are interested in moving forward with a feasibility study <br />to see what potential BMP could be in the area of the Wilkinson Lakes <br />Development. The team is currently looking for options on how to reduce <br />sediment and nutrient loading. The cost of the project would be split three ways, <br />between the City, VLAMO and North Oaks Co. The City share would be covered <br />by Surface Water Management Fund. <br />Chair Sullivan made a motion to approve the recommendations by staff. Ms. <br />Nelson seconded. Motion carried 5-0. <br />7.DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />A.Project Updates – EAB Extension through 2026 <br />The City has signed a contract with Rainbow Tree Care through 2026, continuing <br />to treat Ash trees. The City is currently treating around 70 to 90 trees annually. <br />B.Recycling Updates <br />There were a recorded 247 vehicles that attend Recycling Saturday on <br />th <br />November 17, 2024. There is a plan in place to survey residents who utilize the <br />Organics program and a survey of residents who utilize RecyclingSaturday to <br />gain a better understanding of the types of items are being recycled and the <br />volume of organics collected. <br />C.ADJOURN <br />Mr. Schwartz made a motionto adjourn the meeting at 7:31p.m. Motion was <br />seconded by Ms.Buchmeier. <br />Motion carried 5 – 0. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Marissa Ertel – Office Specialist <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br />
