The amount to be assessed against the abutting benefitted properties is $480,000.00. The <br />proposed assessment role is enclosed. The assessments would be payable over 15 years at an <br />interest rate of 5 percent. <br />The next step in the process is to call for the hearing on the proposed assessment. The <br />proposed hearing will be held at the March 24, 2025 City Council meeting. Notice of the <br />meeting will be published in the City's official newspaper (Quad Press). Mailed notice will be <br />provided to each parcel owner not less than two weeks prior to the hearing. <br />The assessments would be certified to Anoka County for taxes payable 2026. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolutions No. 25-25 and 25-26 declaring the cost to be <br />assessed, and calling the hearing on proposed assessments for the 2025 Street Reconstruction <br />and Sewer and Water Extension Project in the Pine Haven neighborhood. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
