<br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />PHASE 1 & 2 <br />The phase one and two organizational structure is based on the department being staffed with 22 <br />officers who are eligible for solo patrol. The phase one structure provides time for key foundational <br />steps to occur and predictable scheduling for staff during the remainder of 2025. During phase one <br />staff will assign a School Resource Officer (SRO) to the Centennial Middle School, recruit a police <br />officer for a vacant position, revise the sergeant promotional process, assign staff to an Acting Patrol <br />Sergeant position, and potentially begin a process to promote sergeants in early 2026. Additionally, <br />staff will reassign a staff member from the Investigative Assistant position to the newly created <br />Evidence and Intelligence Specialist position which is in alignment with Recommendation #32. <br /> <br />PHASE 1 & 2: ORGANIZATIONAL CHART <br /> <br />PHASE 1 & 2: ESTIMATED TIMELINE – 22 OFFICERS <br />Quarter 2, 2025 Select an officer for School Resource Officer (SRO) position <br />Quarter 2, 2025 Identify eligible Acting Patrol Sergeants <br />Quarter 2, 2025 Bid for 3rd and 4th Quarter schedule (June 15 – December 13) <br />Quarter 3, 2025 Implement Acting Patrol Sergeant schedule <br />Quarter 3, 2025 Recruit officer to flll vacant position <br />Quarter 3, 2025 Implement Evidence and Intelligence Specialist position <br /> <br />PHASE 3 <br />If staffing levels increase above 22 officers who are available for solo patrol, the department can <br />advance to the phase three organizational structure pictured below.
