Construction Management Approach <br />ESTIMATING TECHNIQUES <br />At the core of RJM's preconstruction team are six full-time estimators. This team <br />ensures estimates are accurate and completed on time without the daily distractions <br />of project management. Our team has an extensive database, comprehensive <br />procedures, and the experience to produce accurate and timely estimates. <br />RJM's estimating team utilizes various technological resources to develop a cost <br />model. Materials are quantified with precision in eTakeoff/Dimension and paired <br />with our unit cost database, which is maintained via Sage Estimating. We also rely on <br />virtual building models (BIM) to ensure estimating accuracy. <br />RJM's cost estimating process is entirely open book. We provide detailed information <br />supporting our numbers in an open forum with the project team. An estimate <br />summary will highlight the major categories of work and associated costs. In addition, <br />RJM provides a detailed estimate, showing all cost categories by the specification <br />section. These resources will allow the team to make educated decisions. As the <br />design progresses, we provide continuous, real-time cost evaluation so that we <br />immediately realize the cost impact to design choices.
