Proposed Gateway sign theme will be compatible with established tradition of neighboring
North Oaks and Waverly Gardens.
Neighborhood
connection and
pedestrian scale -
Materials
compatible with
natural stone, water,
and vegetation.
C. ARCHITECTURAL STANDARDS
Wilkinson Waters is planned in accordance with the four-sided architecture as noted in the 2040
Comprehensive Plan. All facades will be articulated with a variety of material, glazing,
overhangs and details that are engaging to the community and provide visual interest. Street
facing facades incorporate offsets in either recesses or projections that support the program of
the building at least every 50 feet along the facade. Building design elements should express
vertical articulation to support a series of building areas, supported by the offsets and variation
in materials. The linear design of the buildings and definition of stories should be supported by
the repetition of fenestration heights and alignment, strong repetitive balcony/ canopy lines,
Wilkinson Waters Design Guidelines Page 1 11
