Lino Lakes City Council <br />Work Session <br />Minutes <br />DATE: May 12, 2025 <br />TIME STARTED: 6:00 P.M. <br />TIME ENDED: 6:24 P.M. <br />LOCATION: Community Room <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Rafferty Councilmembers Cavegn, Lyden, Stoesz and <br />Ruhland <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: None <br />Staff Members Present: Interim City Administrator Dave Pecchia, City Clerk Roberta Colotti, <br />Community Development Director Michael Grochala, City Engineer Diane Hankee, Human <br />Resources and Communications Manager Meg Sawyer, Interim Public Safety Director Curt <br />Boehme, Interim Fire Chief Dan L'Allier, and Public Works Superintendent Justin Williams. <br />1. Call to Order and Roll Call <br />Mayor Rafferty called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br />2. Setting the Agenda: Addition or Deletion of Agenda Items <br />The agenda was adopted as presented. <br />3. Administration Update <br />The Interim City Administrator provided the following updates. <br />• City staff have been preparing for the Police and Fire Department ordinance <br />amendments and appointments scheduled for formal action this evening. <br />• The Police and Fire Department Strategic Implementation Plans with Financial <br />Reports will be presented at the May 14t" Special Work Session. The <br />presentations are expected to take approximately four hours. <br />• The Finance Director job announcement has been posted. The new <br />Administrator, scheduled to beginning mid -June, has been apprised of the <br />Finance Director hiring process. <br />• The Building Inspector position is posted. <br />• The City received 81 applications for the Community Development Department <br />Office Specialist position. <br />• The City received 20 applications for the Community Development Department <br />Specialist position and the screening process begins this week for that position. <br />• The annual employee appreciation event has been scheduled for June 12t" at 2 <br />p.m. at Fire Station #2. To allow all employees to attend, the city offices will be <br />closed for this event. <br />• IT security awareness training has been scheduled for staff and the City Council. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
