There were 196 trees surveyed on the site. Tree species present include maple, cottonwood,
whit spruce, crab apple, boxelder, pussy willow, aspen, oaks, red pine, and elm. There is a
diversity of trees scattered throughout the site based on topography and past land uses.
Future submittals should include a table of the species being removed referencing tag number
to verify health, size, species, and location. Trees outside of the basic use area will be required
to be mitigated.
Additionally, all removals should state the management zone in which the tree resides. Non -
ESA, Natural Resource Enhancement Area, and Natural Resource Conservation area. Based on
the location mitigation requirements vary. It appears there are several trees outside of the
basic use area and within the 30' buffer of the wetland.
An updated mitigation plan will be required and evaluated with future submissions to confirm
tree replacement and mitigation are being met.
Trees that are planned for preservation will require tree protection fence installed in
accordance with the City Tree Protection Fence detail. Include a list of species to be planted
and number of each species to be planted. Current plans just show large, medium, and large
tree totals and aren't broken down to species.
Tree Preservation and Mitigation Standards have not been met. Additional information
required to verify mitigation requirements.
Open Areas Landscape Standards
The purpose of these standards is to provide general site beautification and high aesthetic
quality with a mix of plant materials in open areas.
