Comment
Response
around. Oh well, I'm sure some developer will be allowed to give it a try, hopefully
the applicable City of Lino Lakes and RCWD
not one convicted of theft by swindle. For what it's worth, between the two
approvals will need to be obtained. To the extent
scenarios presented, this resident votes for scenario 1.
possible, existing soils will be used for future
development. Please see item 12 for additional
floodplain mitigation strategies.
6. William Grant
Sunset is a short street that is already problematic to turn left out of the
A Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) was completed as
neighborhood in the morning. Putting high density all centered on Sunset will
part of the AUAR and based on projected trip
make a problem worse. The higher density should be farther East closer to the
generation, the area's transportation network is
major roadways. That is Scenario 1.
expected to support development within the
study area with mitigation (see Appendix D).
7. James Kukkonen
Appropriate improvements to infrastructure will
be required by future developers to support
development in a sustainable way. See the
Mitigation Plan section in the AUAR for a full list
As a current resident of Century Trail I would prefer a scenario with low density
of next steps required. The City has met with
development. My concerns would include the increased traffic, use of local
both the Centennial and Forest Lake School
resources and added pressure on local schools. I am not against growth but I do
Districts through this process, and district
believe we need to consider the effects of increasing too much in a small area
leadership had no concerns about how the
development scenarios would affect enrollment,
operations or funding. Furthermore, the
proposed development growth aligns with the
projected growth of both school districts.
8. Teresa O'Connell
Water and lighting are my concerns. Water this area I believe was tiled for farming
Comment noted. The City will encourage future
so with that in mind keeping the water on this site with slow release into the soil or
developers to consider the climate adaptions and
sewer system is important. Whatever system is used plan ahead on making
sustainability measures identified in Section 7
maintenance of these water areas easily accessible. Decided in advance before
and 18 of the AUAR.
16
